What are the wire rope clips?
The stainless steel wire rope clip is a stop that is used on the cables, mostly when you need to make aneyelet with one of them. In our range we have different types of wire rope clips depending on the use to which we must do.
Below the different types:
- AISI 316 Stainelss steel wire rope clip
- AISI 316 Stainelss steel wire rope cross clamps
- Stainless steel AISI 316/304 simplex and duplex wire rope clips
- Copper wire rope clip (alias “sleeve”)
The wire rope clip: how to use it?
Using the wire rope clips it is recommended for a better efficiency:
- Position the wire rope clip as the figure 1 illustrates: to prevent the attack efficiency decreases by 60% compared to the tensile load of the rope
- Assemble wire rope clips to a distance between them averaged out at 6/8 times the ropes diameter. Then check their tightness.
- Assemble a number of wire rope clips not lower than that following specified:
– 3 pz: rope diam. from 2 to 6
– 4 pz: rope diam. from 7 to 18
– 5 pz: rope diam. from 19 to 26
– 6 pz: rope diam. from 28 to 38
– 7/8 pz: rope diam. from 40 to 50
