EN 10204

In the previous post, we started to get some clarity about the EN 10204 standard. In particular, the best way to draw up inspection documents. In the second part of the post we will discuss the correct transmission of these documents.

EN 10204 standard: a closer look at Article 6.

The Article 6 in EN 10204 standard is of great importance. This is about the transmission of inspection documents by an intermediary (as could be our own company Inox Mare Srl). An intermediary only has to submit an original or a copy of the inspection documents provided by the manufacturer, without any alteration. This documentation must be accompanied by appropriate means of product identification. This is precisely in order to ensure traceability between product and documentation.

In case of copies?

Copying the original document is permetted, provided that:

  • traceability procedures are operated
  • the original document is available on request.

When producing copies, information about the original quantities delivered is allowed to be replaced with the partial quantities actually delivered.
