Stainless steel safety washers are thin plates (typically disk-shaped) with a hole (typically in the middle).
Washers. Where to place them?
Washers are normally used to distribute the load of a threaded fasteners, such as a screw or nut.
A locking washer that works by having a side tab that can be bent into place against a nut. Metallic or non-metallic, the tab washer notch prevents rotation relative to the shaft or fastener.
Safety washers. What are and when use them?
Safety washers are similar as tab washers. A flap is folder into the side of the bolt and another jag fits together in a hole (or tab). Alternatively, this force on another surface.
