After talking about the wire rope clips in a previous post, today we want to focus our attention to wire rope clamps. 

What are the wire rope clamps?

These items are wire rope accessories for architecture and for modern home interiors. The wire rope clamps are made in AISI 316 stainless steel.

What types of wire rope cross clamps?

The stainless steel wire rope cross clamps can be of two types.

CLOSED

• It’s used to create wire mesh and gratings
• It’s used for indoor and outdoor modern architecture to:
  • Vertical walls of greenery
  • Suspension systems for climbing plants
  • Innovative design railings, parapets, balustrades
  • Tensile structures, hanging gardens and gazebo
  • Vertical greening systems for urban architecture
  • Vertical green facades of public or private buildings
  • Plant walls or squares

• The milling cut allow the easy and fast insertion of the steel cables into the clamp.
• The stainless steel is fully adapted for outdoor use, also subject to potential damage from abnormal weather phenomena. In fact, it ensures an excellent water, snow and humidity resistance. For example, on climbing plants

This type of clamp is similar to the previously, with only the difference of the threaded hole on the back that allows the fixing of wall.

As the wire rope cross clamps even rings ones may have different characteristics.

Wire rope clamp rings

• The divided clamping rings surround the cable with a uniform distribution of the clamping forces.

• This involves a precise coupling and hard-wearing quality. No cable damage.

Wire rope clamps

• Used for the realization of modern furnishing accessories. (for example: furniture, library, shelf and display shelves suspended on a tension cable system).
• Used with 7×7 and 7×19 ropes.
• The fixing is carried out by an Allen screw along the cable that it’s placed at the desired height.
• After locking on the cable, the wire rope clamp is able to support panels and perforated shelves of any material (e.g. glass, wood, plexiglass, stainless steel and aluminum.)
