This type of products are perfect in so many applications, particularly those concerning the nautical sector, thanks to their excellent resistance of corrosion and durability. In addition, stainless steel chains are also used in:

Some examples of chains
One of the most required type of chain is the Genovese chain on stainless steel (AISI 304 and AISI 316), which can be used in boating, in agriculture and also for the urban furniture. However, it is not considered appropriate for lifting and for traction, so it is necessary to not cross the work load limit. Another type is the calibrated chain that it is suitable for nautical use (DIN 766); thanks to its higher quality, this chain is suitable for use on anchor windlass. Other types of chains, instead, are suitable for the boat winch.
Where to use chains?
What are other potential uses of chains? As mentioned above, they are fundamental during mooring service. If in presence of electric winch, however, they must have calibrated jerseys and respond to precise standard measurements; only this way to fit the windlass you will have to maneuver the chain itself.
Stainless steel recommended for the nautical and naval sectors are:
- AISI 316 (correspond to marine areas)
- AISI 304 (correspond to lake areas).
