KEY – The Energy Transition Expo is an event organized by IEG (Italian Exhibition Group) and has become, in recent years, a key reference point for renewable energy innovation across Europe, Africa, and the Mediterranean area. The 2026 edition will feature over 1,000 brands from more than 30 countries, covering sectors such as solar, wind, hydrogen, energy storage, electric mobility, energy efficiency, and much more.
What should you know about the exhibition?
The fourth edition of KEY – The Energy Transition Expo will take place from March 4 to March 6, 2026, at the Rimini Expo Centre. Opening hours are:
- Wednesday, March 4 & Thursday, March 5: 9:30 AM – 6:30 PM
- Friday, March 6: 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM
Tickets can be purchased by registering and accessing the fair’s reserved area, or directly at the entrance during the event.

KEY – The Energy Transition Expo is recognized as the hub for energy transition and efficiency, where a green and decarbonized future takes shape. As in previous editions, the exhibition space will be organized into seven interconnected thematic areas:
- Photovoltaics
- Wind energy
- Energy storage
- Energy efficiency
- Electric mobility
- Sustainable cities
- Innovation District.
What will be the focus in 2026?
The 2026 edition will focus on Europe, North Africa, and Sub-Saharan Africa, as well as the Balkan area and Turkey. Photovoltaics, energy storage, and wind energy will once again play a leading role. In addition, key topics will include:
- Agrivoltaic systems, at national, European, and international levels
- Offshore wind systems, with insights into innovative materials and the first authorized projects in Italy
- Energy storage systems, essential for grid flexibility and stability, with a strong focus on the industrial sector
- Hydropower systems, highlighting new investments to unlock their full potential.
Special attention will also be given to territorial acceptance, exploring strategies and opportunities to align the development of large renewable energy plants with the involvement and consent of local communities.
