Winter has come and brings with him the first snowfalls and thus potential danger from ice formation on the roads. The intervention of salt trucks can become necessary, but how are they manufactured? Stainless steel AISI 316 allows to work with any type of material from sand, to salt and grit.
The construction of salt trucks: why use stainless steel?
Almost all salt trucks are constructed, fully or partly, in stainless steel. This type of material provides excellent protection against corrosion.
There are many other adavtanges to using stainless steel:
- high quality of the steel ensures durability
- easing cleaning
- basic maintenance
These machines can be of different sizes depending on the dimensions of the roads and to offer the best possible service to speed up the melting of snow and ice.

The salt trucks can be assembled with stainless steel AISI 316 parts. What are these components?
- diffusor
- metal runner (with pins, which are also in stainless steel)
- filter grid
- springs for hydraulic control
- hydraulic cylinders
- mechanical shaker (also with chain)
- silos components for salt storage
- fasteners
