What use are the flat shackles?
Stainless steel flat shackles are among the most common connection elements on marine sector. Even though we can often use the flat shackles as a key ring. In boating, we can use them as cable lug for chains or to connect a bowline with a jumper. Or even a chain to an anchor. However, their main use is to connect the tops to sails of boats. In fact, the use of AISI 316 stainless steel provides better corrosion resistance of chlorides. Also in marine use (contact with seawater and de-icing salts).
Some information about flat shackles..
But what does the fact that are they printed? Flat shackles are obviously thinner than the others. Their thickness connects peaks at small sails. Cannot therefore hold heavy loads.

We advise you to be careful. The dimensions shown in our data sheets are subject to minimal variations (different production line batch).
