Since March we have added to our range the Article 0467 – DIN 467, specifically, knurled nuts.
In addition to article 0467, is present in our stock the 0466 – DIN 466, specifically, knurled nuts with collar. Both items are in austenitic stainless steel AISI 303/A1.
Find the characteristics of stainless steel AISI 303.
This type of steel (Cr-Ni) is not hardenable and it provides some important properties such as:
- best workability
- better resistance to galling (thanks to the addition of sulphur)
However, the stainless steel AISI 303 does not lend itself to special welded. Additionally, you may have a weak magnetism on cold worked materials. Compared to AISI 304, it has a slightly lower percentage of chromium and a greater percentage of sulphur.
Some example of applications.
AISI 303 and AISI 304 applications can have the same. But for which components can be shown?
- those produced on automatic machines
- those not subject to critical condition of corrosion.
The highest percentage of sulphur (cited above) makes it particularly suitable for use during processing for the shavings removal.
Knurled nuts produced in this material, in particular, are used when you need a precision adjustment function. They are suitable to be unscrewed manually.
